Rob,

I sent you a pm last night. I will be in Seattle all weekend so if you can, bring your kiteboarding gear and lets try and meet up.

Also send me your email address and I can send you some photos of the windsurfing gear tonight.

Thanks,
Christian

You're best off talking to a local shop about the best gear to get. If you choose the wrong gear (and there's lots of it out there), it will take you much longer to learn to sail. Avoid the temptation to jump on the first "good deal" you come across. You're best off selling your kite gear and then using the proceeds to buy the right stuff.

I still dust off my windsurfing gear once or twice a season on nuking days. It's a fun sport.

If you're not absolutely convinced that you're bored with kiting, you should get an instructional DVD and start trying some new moves. A 40ft high kite loop is about the furthest thing from boring that I can think of. And there is lots in between...

LOL. funny as hell Razz

What's really funny is that there's the same sort of comparison between paragliding and hang gliding.

PG is the newer, cheaper, easier sport, with more opportunities to fly. Hardly anybody moves from PG to HG, and when they do its usually just to learn something new or because it only nukes where they fly. They hardly ever dump PG for HG, they just add HG as a novelty.
