Meeting family out there for two days.
Going fishing.
But I would like to kite if there is wind.
Any launches in Hermiston?
Safe launches for my wife?
Thanks. _________________ SPACESTICK

Stop by Irrigon and say hi to my folks for me...
Small mouth fishing near the Umatilla wildlife refuge on the columbia river - between boardman and irrigon, can be epic at times. Look for 5'-10'ft depth and round river rocks along shore line.
Kiting: if it's windy, there's a sandy beach thats large enough near the Morrow and Umatilla county line (turn into dirt road on hwy 730, county line. Drive all the way towards river - you'll see it.). Wind tends to be a little gusty, slightly off shore (a little SW). Works better when wind is directly west/northwest.
There's more beach access about 2-3 miles west of umatilla city.
Good luck fish'n..... |
