Ya know, for all the different disciplines, "steez" and legitness, there is still something soo awesome about just boosting to the fuckin' moon like that.

was completely lit yesterday on my nine. I was already powered up when I went out - and then it picked up pretty drastically. Barely even able to hang on. I was riding at 11 and 1 oclock and then would boost up but just pulling the bar in. Ejector seat style. LOL. Not much else to do with that much power - besides tomahawk people that piss me off Wink

Were you wearing a green helmet and some type of PFD? Rev had some sail tape repairs on the inner panel?

If you are asking me - the answer is no. i don't wear a green helmet. Did you see a fat old guy with a rev or something?

I was actually scared off, haven't been in the water yet this year, got some time off and started driving. Picked up the PDA and saw the wind sensors, stopped for a pizza, thought that my smallest kite was 7 and turned around and headed home.

sg Shocked

This had to be a rock creek session to have the syncline in the background or photo-shopped. Anyway, it made the picture of the week in the Hood River News!

That was probably the best session of my life. 30-45!!!. It was just Sudds, AKA Bubbles, and I on the water going HUGE.

A few times Sudds was right behind me ... then he was GONE!!! I found him a second later above my kite, 30-40 feet- holly s^!#!!!

I crashed a few times- HARD!!!. I also deflated my kite right as the camera came out- dohhhh!!!

Thanks Adam for capturing this epic day!!

Yeah Hurricane and Sudz. Mosier had spray all the way across the river. F..ing HUGE. We saw you on our way out East.

Rufus was blowing 40-50 with enormous glassy swells. Sean Reyngoudt (the kiter from FL with one leg) was boosting what we estimated to be 60' high double-mega loops and get this - over the eastern tip of the launch site. Insane. WooHoo!! Most people were on 3-5m kites.

I guess it makes good sense to own a mini-kite to really appreciate our surfboards here in The Gorge, since the size of the swells are primarily determined by the strength of the wind. Nukin wind = huge swell = good river surfing or massive AIR on a twin tip. Very Happy

Great pic Suds and it sounds like some brass ball riding was going on all over. I would have liked to have seen Sean's boostage.
