Was on today at Lyons Day Park in Woodland WA! All alone in perfect 9 meter conditions. Had the whole river and butter near the launch. Nice launch area and it's shallow for a ways out... not very often that it's this good there. Ahhh... Got my fix today Very Happy

Winds were out of the northwest. Not sure of the speed but I was out on an 11 meter first and it got way to lit. The 9 worked great from there on out

Caught-it-there a couple of times last year in July. Upwind of the launch, in the shallows between pile dike was super flat water.

Any wind sensors there? How do you know it's going?

No sensors there but I saw it was blowing at Jones Beach and east on the Gorge... figured I'd chance it and if it wasn't I'd hang out and enjoy the sunshine. Fortunately it was on!

Live across the river from the park. Ride in the vicinity often. There's not a sensor near and the only way to know if it goes is to see it. There is a great sand bar just a bit upriver from the park. Need a boat or wave runner to get to it. Have thought about a wind sensor perched on my house so I can see what's going on when I am at work. Maybe someday.
Glad to hear someone got some there! Kite on!

Its such an awesome place to ride. Flatwater, swells and usually loads of really hot 25 year old VictoriaSecret models running around in lingerie to cheer you on as you pull your favorite trick. Wave
