Looks to be 10-15 degrees warmer here in PDX than out at the Coast for most of this weekend, so Sauvie could very well deliver the goods...

screw you newb if you don't know I'm not telling you.
Or...
The steps to see if Sauvie will go:
Check airnet scappose forecast look for at LEAST 10 north. 9 if your desperate.
Look at the freemont bridge sensor, it should be blowing directly north, a little east is ok, a little west is bad news.
Then, check the late afternoon jones and kalama sensor, if they ahve been rising its a good sign. Things tends to cool west to east so if they are popping its a good sign.
finally, before you head out look at the sky, if there are clouds to the west...not a good sign.
When you get skunked, call ikitesurf when you get home and tell them they suck for not having a sensor out there.

Talk talk talk. That's all it hear about SI. Myself and SpecialK got a little SI last night as the moon was rising, Damn fun for being the only kites on the water.
Need a glow in the dark GoHoe for these twilight sessions. You could break a boner without any body seeing too.

You guys must have got there LATE. I left a little after 7pm and there were just a couple of folks left on the whole beach. It was filled in nice and great direction when I left. Sometimes the late sessions are the best at SI.

Yup, got there about 8:30 and flew for an hour. I quit because I decided I would have a hard time finding the ketchup and mustard board in the low light, thus the Glow in the dark GoHoe.

Nice Job! I agree, a lot of blah, blah and very little actual kiting. If your going to be out at S.I. bring your big kite (12+meter) a big board, a snack, a good attitude, and most of all BEER. Follow these guidelines and you should have a good time out there regardless. Unless of course someone breaks into your car...

Typically from 11M to "what's the biggest you've got?".
I'm 165lbs and the most common size for me at SI is 13M on a 136 twin tip or 11M on a skim.

Dude, if I could pick one kite for sawvies it would be my 13m rev (and I'm 185 pounds). But there are juicy days once in a while where I need an 11. On those days Sawvies is saweet!!
But I also keep a 2006 16m vegas as back up and a skim so I can get up and riding in marginal winds.
