Has anyone from CGKA talked to anyone from CGWA about Windfest this weekend?
Will pump and dry still be allowed, or is the grass off limits to kites for the weekend?

It's going to be a busy weekend so please remember the Sandbar is open and if you kite at the Marina please follow the rules.
They are watching the Marina closely and reviewing it monthly. It's an advanced launch only.
In the past I believe they have said it was ok to use the event site but just be polite and ask them if they mind.

When a group rents the eventsite, its theirs to do with as they want. So Please ask first.

Just got word, there will be no pump and dry this weekend due to the addition of the WindSurf Blowout Race. The CGWA has always allowed for the pump and dry space during Windfest, but this year they need the space.
Before everyone gets upset, please realize that the Event Site is always available for rent, it's been rented by the CGWA, and use of it is at the discretion of the CGWA event organizers. This is just like when KB4C or the demo event rent the Event Site for kiteboarding events.
You have three alternative choices:
1) Walk through event site to sandbar snatch patch and pump/rig there.
2) Goto Sandbar.
3) Goto Marina.
