Dude, that's totally the first thing I did when I got my first kite! 2002 Cabrinha C02 12m. Pumped that giant bitch up in my tiny ass living room and was obsessed from that moment forward!

Welcome to the shit!

mad props on the kite.

my first kite was a 2005 20m cabrinha contra. that's right, 20m. what a bad investment that was.

...so cool to see someone so stoked to get IN to the sport right now.
It's so much more user friendly.

I remember my first kite.
1999 wipika two line 12 meter.
And a 2000 Wipika airblast 20 meter.
Giant bar with ropes dangling everywhere ---and a huge velcro wrist leash.

Started on a huge directional and stepped up to a big blue Wipika Olry board.

Those were the days.
It was total carnage.

I would take the 12 meter out in 8 mph wind and try to 'make it work'.
ha

Thank God there was not a soul around.
It was freaky how lonely it was----now that I think back.

I still have two crispy brand new 1999 Liquid Force two line flight kites.
If anyone is, for any reason, interested in a vintage two line kite let me know.....

Full on wakestyle no depower.

That is so funny, I pumped my kites up in our living room and broke three pictures on the wall, but they look so cool.
Man I can not wit to get out.

So funny...those were the memories. I still have 2 Wipi's and an Olry board. I figured the board would look good at Bolstads tiki bar and you can't sell the kites now because of the guilt factor. However, I would be interested in one of those LF flight kites Scott...because those are RARE. Earlier this year at the Sandbar we were trying to figure out a "vintage" class race and which gear would get certain "handicap" points etc and everybody seemed to have some old death wish gear ready to ride again. Maybe the Blowout...old school vs. new school. Ex: If you go strapless on a 2-line kite and finish the Blowout you should automatically win. Very Happy

I was watching you crazy bastards 6-8 years ago and thought it looked like complete chaos just barely under control haha I am glad the kites finaly got to the point where they have some safety features.
