The forecasts disagree, but the gradients are looking pretty good right now.

There are some stratus clouds that could kill it if they build, but if it clears up any....

River levels are still pretty low (about 4' at vancouver), so tide could be a factor. High tide should be around 1:30pm today so the tide should be good in the PM.

Its a crap shoot (pretty much like always), but I'll keep watching it for after-work potential today.

Rooster looked money when I drove by this morning. The forecast says 9 for sauvie. Never known sauvie to go off when there is a strong east but maybe it will switch around and become "doable" yipee.

I have not even checked the readings or forecast yet, but it sure feels and looks like it is a classic SI day. Trees and bushes at my house are moving. Have fun out there if you go. . .I won't be making it. Cool Shocked

Ikite and Temira seem to have a difference of opinion.

Saturday:
Weak winds. Probably seeing mild morning easterlies for Rooster Rock to Stevenson in the low to maybe weak mid teens, but not lasting long. Westerlies strengthening a bit late. Stevenson and the Corridor reaching late afternoon and evening mid to faint upper teen westerlies. Quieter elsewhere. The Coast remains mild with NW low teens for the North Coast and mid teens for the South Coast.

Sunday:
Improving westerlies. Stevenson reaching upper teens to near 20. The Corridor and Near East reaching near 20's, maybe a bit stronger. The East reaching mid to weak upper teens. The Coast reaching NW upper teens.

Temira says Westerlies return tomorrow afternoon with 17-21 in the Corridor. Sunday looks light.

Surf looks good with a 3 foot 14 second swell. N winds 10-15 knots at the coast says NOAA.

Cloud cover is getting worse instead of better.... not a good sign. Gradients still look OK. Coast is due west.
