I'm house sitting in La Paz for the month of July and am wondering if I should bother bringing my kite gear. I know it is the off season, but is there a chance I could get a few days of riding in?

Thanks!

Bring a dirt bike, for LaVentana,
You will probably get some on the Pacific side, Punto Cerritos (surf and kite surf)
It's a great spot, but probably no wind in LaVentana.
Enjoy the HEAT!

Ventana shuts down entirely for the season, at least for sailing. It's game-fish and surf time in the summer.

Down there, it's south swell season. Costa Azul has maintained some soul, and they rent excellent boards.

Cabo is filled with vacationing Americans, all drinking hard. Repulsively so, actually.

Central San Jose del Cabo is very pleasant, as is the Malecon on the waterfront in La Paz.

And the absolute VERY BEST fish tacos you will ever have the chance to try are on the Malecon in La Paz. Head towards Pichelingue about 6 blocks from the center in La Paz, look on your right side (before you reach Hotel Pekin) for a very busy stand from about 8AM to 1PM. "El Bismarcito" Almost worth the flight just for one of those. Fresh fish, shrimp, manta ray, & lobster, and great sauces to add yourself.

Not too much wind in LV in July. . . plenty of jelly fish, though!

Speaking of tacos - be sure to hit up Rancho Viejo, make a right off the Malecon - I think somewhere around El 5th Del Febrero? Get Carne Arrachera, they serve by the 1/2 and full kilo! Nothing better!
