Hi All,
It's been a great fall/winter/spring east wind season at Rooster. The RoosterCam will soon be having it's first birthday (and it survived a year in the elements).
We are planning to make some enhancements to RoosterCam this summer.
If you get value from the RoosterCam, please consider making a $5 or $10 annual donation to help with operating costs. Just click the "DONATE" button on the RoosterCam web page.
regards,

Sounds good to me. I was wondering if there would be a way to mount a wind sensor on the cam as well or is it in a bad position. Tell us a figure and we will raise the cash.
I'm going to donate this morning for sure. It takes a lot of work and corodination to install a camera. Thanks again! |

There's an iW/iK sensor near the RoosterCam. Unfortunately, it is not a good location and the sensor is only marginally useful. I use the gust reading of the sensor as the actual average - that works pretty good. Supposedly, iW/iK is working on getting permission to put a sensor on the big metal tripod out in the river. If that ever happens, it'll be much better than the current setup.
