No suggestions.
But I feel like I really accomplished something just by making it all the way through that "paragraph". Brutal. |

I think you got it covered. It all works at the right time and place. Be flexible. Find a rootball or log at RR and tie off to it |

35 knots is a lot of wind and probably really gusty too! I guess you would be using a 5 meter kite. Things happen really fast in those conditions.
Maybe Insitu,Inc. could make you a robot-scarecrow kite launcher, where you could use a remote control garage door opener, a 12volt battery, an inverter, and a couple of solenoid switches, to release the scarecrow's grasp on the kite, when everything is good-to-go.
Still, you would probably have to self-land the kite out in the water, and self-rescue and swim the kite in to shore.
Beware of anyone who claims they have a fool-proof method of doing what you want to do...especially, if they say "No problems, Dude, works every time." |

Your best bet is to tie your chicken loop to something heavy. Then if the kite does fall back into the window and do something crazy, at least you're not going with it. That is the only method I'll use to self launch in high wind. Make sure no one is downwind and be careful!
When it's 10m or 12m, I'll just drag the kite around and let it slide across the sand into a relaunch position. |

Sounds obvious, but making sure your kite is at max depower helps a lot in self launching. Especially if your using a stationary object holding the chicken loop method. |
