Quote: | Comparing salaries of federal employees and private sector employees is not an apples-to-apples comparison. The only appropriate way to make a fair pay comparison is to compare similar jobs with one another. The federal workforce is a white collar, highly-educated workforce, consisting of such professionals as doctors, attorneys and scientists in virtually every discipline. |

The most disturbing part of that graph is the decline in private union workforce....means more and more people are working for less pay and less benifits and are losing their rights. Rich get richer and poor get poorer. ( and no one can figure out where the middle class went? Huh.) |

Here is a fun read --- a thread from a forum for police officers where they brag openly about how awesome their retirement programs are.

"I may be eating at the public trough, but it ain't slop. They got filet mignon in that public trough "
nice!
(PS I'm not a hater - my brother is law enforcement and feeds me this stuff) |

You guys bashing Unions are hilarious...You know the average retirement checks claimed before kicking the bucket? something like 13. Yeah I call that living high on the hog. Not only that with cost of living increase and inflation I Know VERY FEW retirees that are doing much more than getting by.
Granted I am talking private Union but still. Get of your HIGH Fing Horse
As a rule Unions are all about making the big man share a little of the wealth and prvide some basic benefits.... despite the exceptions everyone against (business owners looking out for themselves only) Unions want to quote |

GM killed by the unions
States, USA next?
Aren't there laws to protect workers?
not envy.
Just looking out for those who aren't in the unions and are footing the 'tax' bill.
Is it a choice to be in a union or a premise for employment?
Just doesn't sound quite right.
Lock it down, Nicole. Have a nice trip.
Looking forward to pics.
Promise I'll be good while you and Phil are away. |
