Hey, it's fun to joke around but please understand Pepi wasn't saying that access to the Columbia river costs $10.
Obviously, it's free if you can get to the Gorge... But imagine that over the coming seasons your access, and thus your experience, became bigger, better, cleaner, friendlier, grassier, more free, more convenient, and more like an experience in beauty and pleasure that rivals some of the best times you've had in your life? I'm not just talking air compressors and the event site, And I'm not only talking about the Sandbar, the entire Gorge is kiteboarding's home.
That's what the CGKA is about and that's why we work so hard. Your $10 membership supports that and makes you part of one of the best communities in Kiteboarding. We have a lot of challenges and battles ahead, and while revenue helps us fight these battles, even more helpful is the fact that we represent a large group of the public willing to put their money where it counts. A list of signatures is nice, but an organized community has the power to make real positive change happen.
It's time for all of you to step up to the plate so that we can tackle access issues head on, with the voice of 1000s. |

Did the membership price drop? It seems to me it was $20 last year? If so that's pretty cool as things rarely get cheaper. |

Yes the price dropped to $10.
We still need as much help as everyone can give. This year should be pretty exciting. We have many projects that we are working on. Some of which should be coming due soon.
Those of you that have pump and dried at the Event site, launched at Viento, or Stevenson have seen some of the visible things we have done. Trust me there is alot more that goes on behind the curtain!
Please also thank the current members of the board, some of which have been doing it for TWO years!

It's actually $40 for both MonkeyBoy and TinyE! Just kidding.
BTW, the Board of Directors has to pay too.
