most people say it rains alot in seattle.
yesterday we were kiting on whidbey island and it was probably in the lower 50 degree temps. here's a quick video of our riding spot up near double bluff.

Nice.
Looks fun!
But the drysuits????
Looks like overkill with drysuits, shorts, gloves, etc.
Was it really that cold? _________________ SPACESTICK

that's what I was saying...
those seattle guys are wimps wearing drysuits....
scott if you have ever kited up here in the winter, you will notice that the guys who get out regardless of temps, are using drysuits.
while yesterday was warm in the 50's, most of those guys still prefer the appeal of a drysuit.
I use both, but prefer a wetsuit if I can get away with it.
I use my Pyro Pro drysuit most of the time because of conveience and the warmth.
yes it does get cold here kiting in the Puget Sound. air temps usually run into the lower 40's. Water temps in the mid to upper 40's
yeah hood river joe was rockin his 4/3 and was so warm he didn't even need boardshorts...
this thread below is more spot on with the conditions we usually kite in this time of the year.

Not necessarily true... 5ml for me will work into the low 30's. Plenty of guys still using wet suits year round. You look good in your drysuit though Stringy. |
