Northern baja got 20"s of rain in two days, 60+ mph winds. It is a mess. Bridges gone at Rosario, San Vincent, col. Vincent guerero. The've been pulling high clearance vehicles through the arroyos with tractors and dozers. People have Been without gas, propane and water. Just made it back, 4 days from Rosario to USA. Another big storm tonight, yikes! Mex 1 is an adventure now!

I wonder if anyone has tried the Laguna Chapala to Puerticitos route?

Yeah everyone was trying to figure out how to get home when we left La Ventana yesterday. I guess there is a ferry out of La Paz that would avoid all that mess.

laguna chapala was a lake! You could score a first ever sesh on the lake if you could deal with the mud. Check bajanomads forum for updates

Sometimes life gives you lemons, some sugar, sun and wind and you end up making some tasty ass lemonade out of it!!

The LF van made the trip down for the La Ventana Expo driving in rain from the gorge all the way to Guerro Negro. We crossed TJ at night, 1 day early trying to stay ahead of the storm and we are SO GLAD we did!! Just barely kept ahead of it.

Expo was great. Waking up monday morning to learn the road is still f'd up and impassable and that my only must make meeting this week could be postponed... well, that was something I could handle.

So, yeah, act of god... bummer. 'Stuck' in La Ventana for a few more days. Good thing it's sunny and windy and I have a LF van full of 2010 new toys!!
