Your best bet man is a Landcruiser...

Check

www.IH8mud.com and check the classifieds section

I got a FJ62 for a steal on Craigslist and the guys on the forum have helped me transform it into a sweet expedition kite/surf rig...

Sooo Fj62-Fuel injection great for camping
or a fj60 with a V8 in it

my opinion

if you're willing to drive or even fly for the right rig, their are a couple of websites to search all the cities at once...

Nice, my brother and I still have a 56 Bel Air parked in my parent's barn in Texas. It's just a rolling body, we never finished it. One day!

that's a sweet ride. Wish I could just get a kite mobile but I've been looking for a short trailer like the link below for a while. I've got a suby so I need something lightweight. http://www.mgstrailerstore.com/lm_scans/MPT461.jpg

This one will fit big chunk of plywood and a ton of kites. Anyone have a clue where to find one? My google skillz must be on the down.

I have one that's like that but a flat bed I pull it around with my Subie loaded with dirtbikes and plywood and stuff.

You can get them cheap at harbor fright like $250 then build a box on it.

or here's a simliar one for sale on craigslist

LOL, no stickers, maybe a Slider Project sticker. It came with a sticker on the back window that said "Dutch + Army" as the guy I bought it from owns a bunch of Dutch Bros coffee shops. I already removed it though.

If this doesn't get the family to the beach with all our gear, I don't know what will.

I just got the car dude, hadn't removed the stickers it came with. The sticker on the back window is gone, and the stickers on the boxes are the factory labels. I don't have the boxes purchased yet, as I was just putting it all up there to see what it looked like.

The dual boxes is going to be awesome. I had the 21^3 foot box and was constantly filling it to the brim. The dual 17^3 foot boxes will be awesome. I just don't want any sandy kiting gear or wet snowboard gear inside the vehicle.

I got the idea from Laura though, she had dual boxes on her 4runner and I always loved the look.
