I've been waiting to hit the Ponds at Lot D for a long time. I've been told that it works w/ easterlies and the tide.
This is the forcast for Sat:
SAT...E WIND 15 TO 20 KT WITH GUSTS TO 25 KT. WIND WAVES 4 FT. W SWELL 15 FT AT 15 SECONDS.
I've checked the tides, but I'm not sure what to make of it.
Does anyone have any input? Does it seem OK for tomorrow morning? Afternoon?
If so, anyone want to head over there?
Thanks

http://www.findu.com/cgi-bin/tide.cgi?tide=105

incoming tides knock the apparent wind speed down (though if its crankin it doesnt matter)

if its a major low tide the bay drains out - didn't look to bad (prob cause of half moon)

I thought about the ponds.
Went surfing instead.
Mustve been good.
River was capped out from the east.
Surf was 15 ft at 18 seconds.
Some spots were breaking nicely.
Sorta chaotic but it was fun.
