| Unsalted is a nice flick about great lakes surfing. Buy the DVD to support the guy who made it. It was done before kiting was getting going in the midwest. Superior is cold but lake michigan is in the 70s in the summer with about 300 miles of beaches perfect for kiting on the east side. And it can get big... I've seen 20ft swell on the lake buoy. Periods are really short on the lakes though. There are also a bunch of piers that set up some pretty good down the line wave sailing. I definitely miss freshwater surfing/sailing. Lots of good stoke there. Go get it. |
