F@#K YEA! Maybe I will go to SPI again this spring. That f@#king piece of shit leaning tower of B.S. was killing the wind at the North Flats when it was blowing SE.

Anyone know if they're going to put another one in?

Not another tower there ! We just have to worry about the new bridge now. The second causeway is projected to come onto the island somewhere around the north flats Shocked

It was visibly leaning, something like 7 feet to the side at the top?

Is it actually going to make the wind better on a SE or is the wind disturbed by other buildings?

What's wrong with the current bridge? Seems like they should take into account the wind sports since they bring a lot of money to the Island.

Current bridge cant handle traffic in peak seasons(spring break,etc.). Traffic is even backing up on summer weekends now.
Shouldnt really effect the SE wind. North flats sticks out far enough to be out of the wind shadow.
Location for bridge not definite yet, but will be somewhere around north flats. Hopefully it will further north.

I heard it may be quite a bit farther north, past the north flats, about 1/2 between the flats and the end of the road. Might actually make the trip over to Holly Beach area a lot quicker.

Kind of shitty for downwinders to the end of the road; not sure if you guys do that kind of thing regularly down there?

Nice on the quicker trip to Holly though!

The problem is, the bridge will probably come right in on Holly Beach.... Evil or Very Mad Evil or Very Mad
