Hey NWKiter's, I’m very excited to announce this year’s all inclusive
guided snowkite trips. This year’s trips will have an upgraded package of
remote three-star accommodations, chef prepared meals, full van
transportation (with an all-enclosed trailer for gear) and guided snowkite
support, all located in the Northwest’s premiere snowkite destination,
Idaho’s Camas Prairie.

I’ve spent a lot of time searching for ideal locations and trust me; Camas Prairie is snowkite
paradise!

Check out the website at http://www.snowkitingidaho.com and as Warren Miller says “if you
don’t do it this year, you’ll be one year older when you do.” Why
wait? Looking forward to hearing from you and feel free to forward this on
to your “good” friends. Get a group together and the prices go down or
come solo. Either way, it’s a smokin’ deal. Hope to see you next at
the Boise airport!

Leaving Seattle in the truck on Friday, Fairfield area for the weekend, then on to Salt Lake City area. Hopefully I'll run in to some other kiters, don't know any local riders in Fairfield.

Matt,

Hopefully after this weeks storms it will be past rock board status. I won't be out until Mid January hope to see you out there again! Utah got pounded, now it's our turn!

It's pretty sketch still with 4-6" before today's 6-8" on top of that, hopefully tomorrow brings dumpage and it doesn't blow.....we need the base to build.

I'd bet sun for riding if it blows, should be deece coverage by then, but with the El Nino weather patter, ya never know!

Start the damn season already motha nachu mofo Twisted Evil Twisted Evil Twisted Evil Twisted Evil Twisted Evil Twisted Evil Twisted Evil Twisted Evil Twisted Evil Twisted Evil Twisted Evil Twisted Evil Twisted Evil Twisted Evil Twisted Evil Twisted Evil

The Cams have been down since the weekend.....but I hear 8-10" yesterday and another 6" today so it's primetime for your rock sticks.....use caution too if you're out there, one local a couple years back broke his collarbone on a flop to frozen cowpie hidden underneath the snow.

Here's another link to the statewide for Island Park, CDA, Palouse, etc....when you're rolling through jonesin' for a sess: http://hb.511.idaho.gov/main.jsf

And here's a map of the weather stations in the region, the one named Pine Turnoff right above Mountain Home is the one to use for the Camas: http://www.wrh.noaa.gov/mesowest/mwmap.php?map=boi

See ya on the snow and in the air,

So 5" + 8" yesterday + 6" today = 19"

Wasn't it really cold when they got the first 5"? If so I would think its pretty fluffy stuff at the base...

What do you suggest looking at for a wind forecast?

Here it is, looking about ready.....more snow forecasted, so hope for wind this weekend and it'll be good to go!

There was a 3" icy base underneath before the POW from the latest storm, with rock skis/board it is definitely Kiteable.
