Way to go. This mission wold have been way easier with a snowmobile so I give you credit for hoofing it. Do you know the laws on how high you can take a sled? Timberline? I'd be stoked to join you next time you decide to go. Give me a few days heads up since i 7 hours from Baker.

As you can see in this map here: http://www.parks.wa.gov/winter/trails/?TrailType=motorized&Region=1&Park=20 The trail head is directly on the boundary of the wilderness area. So a snowmobile would only help get you up Forest Road 39. (which is closed to wheeled vehicles, and is a groomed snowmobile track starting soon).

) should go to Mt Saint Helen's. I've heard rumors of riding there and it seems to be a good setup for south winds.
