Right now SW Montana has the snowpack, at least around Bozeman, and i have had some very nice sessions this past week.
New snow fell all day today (Sat) and winds were from the north making the temps in the teens and the flake size tiny. It's called cold smoke when it's this light and dry.
Tomorrow, who knows?

All of the Gallatin Valley kite spots went off today with fresh snow and ripping east wind. While we generally flew twelves, one could have flow a 10m as the day progressed. Massive boosting & ripping free-ride fun was the order of the day. The snow quality was champagne-like: So light and and airy.
One rule had to be followed, cover all exposed skin. With wind around 20mph and temps at -4 all afternoon, skin cells freeze fast!
It has ramped up to the mid-20mph after dark and I suspect it will be another great day tomorrow!
See ya out there,

Noah and Cale,
Thanks for showing me the spots around town, the launch spot is about 25 yards from Noah's front door.

Talk about slow boarding, this guy has downwinders down. He was walking up wind then launching this thing and gowing straight downwind with no steering...
I am going to like this place. |

Noah, any chance you want to adopt a 50 year old kid?
Wow. Very cool! |
