Be careful out there!
I just had two kites stolen out of my vehicle this evening @ airport beach. If you see any deals that are too good to be true out there on the following kites and harness please pm me. The gear was:
Slingshot T3 9m w/bar setup in the 2:1 style and black pump, Black/Gray/Green, like new.
2009 Naish Helix 8m with bar setup as 19" and pump, Blue/White with black struts/LE, like new.
Dakine Waist Harness w/small spreader bar, gray/black camo & green, custom white handle-pass leash w/ring

I've always wondered, say you do spot your gear on an ebay sale, or craigslist, what can you, as the dude who had it stolen from you, do about it?

ebay? not so sure but the police have a craigs list unit that will go and look at the potentially stolen item to determine if it matches the description you gave them. If so, they are arrested and you get your stuff back. You don't have to do anything but A. report it stolen now. and B. watch CL and alert them. You have to be vigilant about it!!!
I had a brush mower stolen once, saw it on CL like three weeks later (it had been posted for two days already). I e-mailed the seller told him I had cash and alerted the cops. Ad was pulled next morning..2K brush hog....gone baby gone.

Awful.
Forgive me if this is common knowledge, but it was new to me.
Craigzoom.com allows you to search all Craigslist areas at once, not just your specific location.
Best of luck recovering your gear.

How did they get in the car? Was the stuff visible? I was thinking of hitting the airport today, but don't want my windows smashed..

| Thanks to everyone for keeping an eye out for them, I really appreciate it. It happened between 500p & 545p just as it was getting dark. The kites were sitting in the back seat of my car... uncovered. I've never had any problems down there before but you can never be too safe. If I don't catch the a--hole I hope they give someone a Merry Christmas this year!?
