Thu Nov 12, 09 9:01 pm Way OT: Universal Remote with GOOD RF range? |
|
|
Logitech universals are expensive, and the 900 has poor range in rf. I need 30' and through sheetrock.
Thanks,

Nothing beats Universal Remote Control (duh). I have two of 980, and I control audio, video and lights throughout the house with them. They require low level programming skills and they are pricey, but this is the best solution I found. _________________ just wear sunscreen |

Hey,
I have this unit:
http://www.amazon.com/RFS200-PowerPak-Bundle-MasterControl-PowerBlaster/dp/B000FL9E6U/ref=pd_bxgy_e_img_b
Works well. All my components are hidden in a closet. ALso has a learn function so you can hold a remote up to the unit and it will learn that remotes features. I botght it a year ago for about $150. The Amazon price looks good. And $75 for a RF remote package is about as cheap as you will find.
Remember that the powerblaster unit (the litle box that comes with the remote) has to be within line of site of each units remote sensor you are controlling. _________________ __________________________
