i test skied the icelandic nomad's at alta and had a blast. conditions were primo so i coulda been on frickin' anything really.
they are hand manufactured by never summer in denver... most durable snowboards ever imo.
i didn't buy them though, i went for the armada jj's (115 under foot). really good reviews and peeps are saying they can actually be used on hard pack too. _________________ www.lancekoudele.com |

good call, I really want to get a pair of salomon czars, sick pow ski with forward rocker only so they still work on the hardpack well. Wouldn't mind trying out the shoguns either _________________ BIP- "YOUR GIRLFRIENDS FAVORITE" |

If yer' ever passing through Hood River and want to demo, we will have the EP Pro and Sir Francis Bacon available in our demo fleet. (Elizabeth's were a bit too soft for our interest and would be better suited for a skier under 170lbs+looking for a super buttery ski). _________________ Pure Stoke Sports

I put all the Eric Pollard inspired skis on that list soley because Lawnmower was had mention skibowl. Both the EP pros and SFB are a super sick ski though, definitely won't have any sinking problems _________________ BIP- "YOUR GIRLFRIENDS FAVORITE" |

Pepi, don't forget about your demo Rossi S7.
Like the Armada JJ, they have regular sidecut and camber underfoot to handle the groomed/hardpack, but rocker and reverse sidecut in the tip/tail for the pow/cement.
They really are "cheater" skis making the deep powder effortless to ski and the heavy Northwest crud feel like a groomer. |

| Think I'm going to go with the Icelandics. Had a Neversummer board until my kid left it in the Meadows paking lot - it was completely bomber. Anybody who is manufacturing in the USA gets my vote. Skibowl is rarely a powder experience. I'm not sure how the new reverse camber, early rize, yadda yadda skis would hold up. Cute sails girl - no offense Pepe. |

Fat skis were the death of untracked powder in bounds 15 minutes after 1st chair.
What a shame.
Now every jack ass up there is cutting left and right tracking the shit out of runs that use to be spooned for hours. _________________ MS |

| Truely the inbounds fresh tracks are fleeting at best. Are you going to hold onto your 207 Atomics while a wolfpack of snowboarders cuts it up. It's gone one way or the other. |

I try to put that out of my memory. Really, when skiing inbounds, after the 1st hour you really don't need or want a ski that is wider than 90 in the waist. Fat skis are nice, but they take much more energy to tip on their sides and hold and edge. The days that it is so deep I can't float my AC50s, I rent a pair of fat skis.
To each their own, just have fun while doing. _________________ MS |
