not much wind in cabo and in December if there was it would most likely be off shore. You can drive about an hour and a half and get to Los Barriles, very consistent wind there.

There is no kiting in Cabo. Full of fishing boats, tourists, snorkelers etc. You can go to Todo Santos, which is on the Pacific side - North one hour. Todo Santos is the home of Hotel California - The margaritas & food menu is outstanding! Carlos from Hood River has a kite school there where they focus on wave riding. Otherwise, Los Barriles or La Ventana are your other options on the east side -

Remember - don't drive at night! Don't rent a jeep (theft magnet).

Have fun!

Melo

PS. Don't attempt kiting on your own close to Cabo on the west side. The waves are neck breakers and you will get swept out to sea.

To get in touch with Carlos, you can email him at: kite@kitethegorge.com

It looks like he won't be there (Todo Santos) until late December - not sure though. Check the web site: kitethegorge.com

Depending on the swell, surfing is awesome at punto cerriotos just south of Todo Santos. Check it.

Punta Cerritos can also deliver wind but it's not so predictable.
If you go to Cerritos beach bring your kites...and if there is no wind just rent a surfboard from Alex at Costa Azul surfshop----they have a stand on the beach at Cerritos. My wife and I go there often.....really cool place.
