If that's not Boiler Bay it looks just like it
We watched a dude tow in that maybe 20 times and hit it every time
if he didn't it was on the rocks for sure

unfortunatly it is a lefty eh G?
and not possibile to view from the shore, those shots are from a ski just on the other side of it ,which was calm and an great place to view
but you can see a hole in the wave and the dude drop and get blown out
time and time again
the lip the day we were there was at least 10' thick

quote from thread from this post: "Yes...it's definitely Oregon.
Used to watch it break a lot during the winter when I lived on that part of the coast....back in 1990's we called it scotts reef.
Nothing to do with me.
Not sure who Scott is??? Or the story behind it?
It's in boiler bay.
No secret really.
And doubtful it will ever have a crowd issue.
Super heavy and super sharky.
The dark side of surfing."

Add foam and that's what the outside of manzo looked like this weekend. Funny, nobody was in the water

| What happens on a wave like this when you go over the falls? 30 seconds underwater...more? 2 minute wash cycle?

I imagine you die in some form (if your karma is good - you might get reborn as an out of breath tow-surfer!)
thats sick!

Yeah Sleestack.
That was my letter.
Never knew it was named after a photographer.
Very cool.
Every hat in my house comes off to the guys who ride that phenom.
Massive girth on that wave, and boiler too.
It's a crazy set of physics that put together the perfect day out there.
There is a heavy consequential line between "how far you can take it"---and "you've taken it too far"----
I have a family.
Won't be doing that.
But huge respect to the motivated free surfers that do.

| Credit needs to go to Dan Hasselscherts and Ollie Richardson, surfers from the Newport area, who were the first to crack the place as tow-in riders. They are also featured in the slide show. This day was the same day as the Nelscott contest.
