www.seagypsysphotographs.com

too bad no fresh kite pics to post, we've been busy riding, and no one currently on the injured (i mean photo duty) list.

warm and windy

classified news: round-up organizing is underway for may 1 -9, we're going big this year.

hope everyone is getting their fix
peace

Red tide is gone, now all we need is some wind to come back... then y'all will stop calling me a wind jinx! Wink

OK, maybe the aerosol isn't completely clear, but the full moon over the gulf should provide some fabulous photographic opportunities. It's absolutely gorgeous out there (but I don't have a camera with me).

Heading down tomorrow and hoping for some good conditions.

Might have to do some full moon sessions as it looks the windiest at night!

Get ready to cough with the rest of us. Red tide isn't gone yet. Today was light wind and the forecast for the week isn't fantastic, but not dead either.

If you are coming to SPI, make sure to bring your biggest kites & a light wind board. Air Padre has been providing great customer service & has plenty of boards to rent if you don't have what you need.

Leaving tomorrow and going back to PNW - it's been really fun here and the kiting folks have been really great to hang out with. Lots of positive vibes and helpful attitudes.

Can't wait for spring!

Melo

y'all are a bit early for TX. aug/sep are the worst months. oct a few fronts come through. nov - feb the fronts get strong and consistent (about 2/3 days). mar - jun is prime time...

think how weak it has to be for a texan to be reading the nw kite forum in nov Wink

it looks like sun on things will pick up a lot with some weird combo of fronts and tropical activity. should make for a nice wind/wave combo.

my advice: buy a last minute ticket to brownsville on SW airlines using the 10-day forecast to decide when to come. weather.com or wunderground.com are both good. pressure forecasts even better. the weather here is very predictable.

Great 10m day on the flats, and big waves on the outside

I was there with some friends all of last week.

definitely still red tide around. its spotty though so some days are better then others. we got some wave riding in and were for the most part okay but a couple guys experienced some irritated eyes for about an hour after riding. it didn't stop us from kiting though.

here's some video from the week

p.s. Thanks to Wyatt and all the Naish guys that came out from the Gorge. It was fun hanging out with you and getting to try some of the 2010 gear. and Thanks to Air Padre for having a Monster Door on hand for rent. You guys saved my vacation with that thing. haha

Chris
