Planning a trip for mid-late February and debating between La Ventana and Los Barriles. I've read some posts comparing the amenities of the towns themselves...but how about conditions? We'll be renting a house with 6+, some non/soon to be kiters. We're first year kiters ourselves and NEED the season to continue.
-Is LB a good spot to learn?
-Which location will likely have more rideable days?
There are a lot more accom in LB and more to do on dead days. Would I regret staying there?
Anyone planning to be around during this time? It'd be great to host a kick a** BBQ and tequila drinking competition... |

| I'd go for La Ventana if you're after more rideable days, I've had better luck there over LB, though LB isn't bad by any means. LV seems to get more of a thermal push from the desert to the south. |

| The question I would have would be LB or LV vs. LR? |

| If your looking to get better and to have success with your newbies I say Ventana. I think if your looking to "hook up" like Cocktail the movie. Then Barrilles. |

LB is ok, LV is better because of there is no where to go down wind - LB is less crowded on the water - more boats in the water though

LV - seems to get a better thermal wind

probably not, it is a nice little town with a real grocery store and nice restraunts and homes - you could drive into Cabo on a no wind day
and you could always drive to LV - it isn't that far
or you could split your stay |
