I don't give advice to yankee fans. Sorry.

Seriously though, most of the Yankee fans hang out at Rooster Rock when its warm.

You can kite right there, or anywhere along the coast. Here's the coastal forecast:

You have options. Never kited between Oceanside and Roads End, in Lincoln City, but I'm sure there are some good spots to be had. I think PKH posted something way back in the day on kiting at Sand Lake. . .?

North of Pacific City you have Oceanside, Manzanita, Seaside north 17 miles to the South Jetty of the Columbia.

South of PC: Roads End, Beaverly Beach, South Jetty at Newport, then Walport, it is the bomb (See kiteboarding article a few yers back), Bandon, Floras Lake area.

There are a few more spots, but this should keep you busy for the wkend.

I'd go south if your looking for Dw'ers and or stores to shop, get local knowledge, ride with someone else. . . There is a new one in Lincoln City you should check out.

I just spent last weekend in PC and got some kiting in. There are a few options:

-On the south side of Cape Kiwanda: downwinders from the cove to the "turn around" or Bob Straub park. If the wind is above 15 knts, be careful not to launch too close to the cape; the wind gets really turbulent.

-On the north side of the cape there is about 2 or 3 miles of beach that you can drive on and the wind is better.

Not many people kite there so be ready for the rock start treatment from beach goers Cool
