Northwave will sew kites for you. And they are located right next to the event site in the Luhr Jensen building.

Brian Kellogg at Northwave does great work and it's reasonably priced.
Been the go-to kite proto modification guy for a major brand (which start's with an N, and minus the wave) for years. Been sending him doozies for many years. ...Like this one;

Funny you should ask; He either fell off of the deck or was hit by a car 3 weeks ago and broke his hip. He's been cat-gimpin' in a small cage as the vet recommended ever since. Apparently, there's at least some chance that the bone will somewhat regenerate...

True dat--Brian Kellogg fixed a blown strut on my 06 Octopussy Naish Boxer for $50, Airtime quoted me $130 plus shipping both ways. Northwave comped the return shipping to Boise.

Talk about a kicka** shop keeping it real even for non-locals next door!

Word.

Was it your buddy in the Subaru?!? He's out to get you Jim!

On the subject of sewing, my Mom moved to Hood River this past spring and has built quite a business doing sewing and alterations. She does exceptional work for very reasonable prices (which has been a double-edged sword because now she complains she's too busy to play so much :). At this point she's done hems on jeans, shirt fittings, wedding dress customizations, even modified some of your Nitrous shorts, but no kites. Yet. I introduced her to several sailmakers years ago and should make it a point to talk to Airtime, because she'd be a great kite resource. I know there's a little bit of competition in the Gorge but seems like demand for repairs will just keep growing.

If you need sewing and alterations or want to reach my Mom, you can PM me or pick up her business card from Julie at the 12th Street Dry Cleaners in Hood River. Her name is Nancy, Julie can tell you about her work, and if you want to help me convince her to repair kites feel free!

I can vouch Marc knows his way around a sewing machine. But keep your damned icon away from my Mom!

But anyways, Marc has repaired some stuff for me - everything has held up. Recommend for sure.
