thats a cold deep lake. Never seen any good launches or wind pattern develop. You may want to try wikiup. That's where the locals go.

I have been eyeballing Crane by the resort. It is a bit sketch. I always get blown off the lake when fishing in the evening 5pmish. You just got to find a good stump free area. Boat for backup would be good. My friends ask "why you bringing five kites and three boards on a fishing trip?" They don't understand the crack addiction.

I think Wikiup gets an afternoon thermal. But the incoming rain may kill that this weekend.

Wikiup has a toxic blue green alge bloom advisory right now, probably a bit more lethal than the Willamette water. Dogs are dying drinking it.
