For sure Newport would make more sense if you're coming from PTown. It's almost the same type conditions, and 60 miles closer.

I doubt Flo is much sharkier then Newport. Either way, you're going to be violating the rules of shark avoidance (stay away from river mouth, don't go near dusk).

Speaking of Florence I am headed down there for Sunday and Monday so if any of you locals (or non-locals) want to demo out my Wainman Hawaii kites feel free to hit me up on the beach. I'll have 2 quivers (7, 9, 12m) and a 5'9" surf on me so there should be plenty of love to go around. See ya tomorrow Twisted Evil

I had to be in Eugene today and thought about staying over and heading to Florence tomorrow as it was the closest. Had to head back home to the wife in Central Oregon though (Acidentally took her car keys with me...OOOPS)
Will have to be in Corvallis a couple weekends next month though and it looks like Newport is the closest Coast spot there. Any specific spots there or just hit the beach and go?
