It's a shame it was pulled, it was a very good British PSA about texting and driving showing a horrible car crash and the aftermath all caused by a texter. You'd think they wouldn't pull a PSA for violation of terms, isn't the whole point to get the message out?
WOW thats the most real PSA i've ever seen sure gets the point out there better then the this is your brain on drugs PSA.
Now if only the actors in hollywood were this good.

Well that does suck , but the thought will trigger a reaction every time you text ( or phone ) in your car .
As an apprentice mechanic we were shown safety films with some serious detail and speaking for myself I will never forget those images and wont make the mistakes that could cost limb or life . Wont ? well I'll try my best not to anyway .
Our company has banned all electronic devices while driving .
Good day all

Try bike commuting at rush hour sometime if you want to see how many people are truly distracted by their cell phones. They've banned handheld cell phone use in California and Oregon but you would never know it!

The law is effective 1/1/2010, and it is only secondary offence, from what I understand. Still it is a step in the right direction.

The whole no talking on cell without a headset is not really attacking the main issue. There have been studies that show it is mostly the conversation that distracts people not the fact that they're holding a cell to their ear. People drink, eat, hold the stick shift, etc. (not to mention the people that only use one hand on the steering wheel most of the time) while driving all of which requires the use of one hand but that's not as dangerous as long as they're paying some attention to the road. Have they banned texting yet? That seems way more dangerous than talking. _________________ The Slider Project, LLC

Good point genek. Department of Psychology at University of Utah has some good research data on the issue. The problem is a cell phone conversation, regardless if it is hands free or not. That is quite surprising to me, but they show rather good supporting data. So after all this might be another illusory action from the legislative.
The Register summed it up quite well: “Driving while talking on the phone is clearly dangerous, and one mitigates the risk by using hands-free equipment and keeping calls to a minimum. Meanwhile, the far more dangerous pursuit of driving while being an idiot unfortunately remains legal to this day.”
