Kiting in Destin Florida

Anybody have any insight on kiting around Destin, Santa Rosa Beach Florida? What size kite... where to go... hungry sharks??

Leaving this weekend for a week. Plan on taking my 14 meter and one board and NO wetsuit.

There are many spots for kiting in and around the Destin are and the panhandle of Florida. You can get some local information from http://www.liquidsurfandsail.com/Index.cfm?page=fortwalton. The guy who owns the place is Bobby Majors, and he has spent many summers here in the Gorge. He will definitely hook you up with the local knowledge. Enjoy the Emerald Coast, it rocks!

I would love to hit the swells if I had time... might be a little far for this trip.

There will be ZERO swell in Destin from hurricane Bill, wrong coast.

and this time of the year, prolly nill on the wind as well......
