Wanna learn then do what you have to, learn to bodydrag and relaunch in HR, one to two days, and then get out of the shallow water! Go to the hook and end up at the sand bar, go to the hatch and nut up for the sandbar downwinder. Stop using shallow water as a crutch.
As to the place where "it blows you back on the beach" it isn't a great beginner spot. Onshore winds are not safe. In the last two years there have been broken collarbones from bodydragging into stumps, hospitalizations from dragging onto the beach, and countless kites into the trees downwind. |

| And for those of you who can ride, spread out. Get over your fear and move out into the channel! |

| Excellent idea about the hook. Good constructive advice to help out those who need it.[/img] |

| Thanks to all for the insight the last couple of days. Most of everyone have been awesome with your guidance of where to learn. I really appreciate it and will take your advice so as not to interfere with everyone. this sport has been so fun to learn and I want to keep the curve going in my way, Blake |
