Anyone care to advise on a first skimboard for an intermediate kiter looking for a flatwater, low wind ride?

I've stumbled across posts touting the Roush design boards. Care to make a case one way or the other for me?

Thanks.

they both will do great..
I like the Morpheous better due to it being slightly longer and a little narrower....It has more of a directional feel to me and just a faster feel...

That said, I've been riding my roomates Rasta for about 2 weeks now waiting for my new board and it's been growing on me..
It is a little wider and shorter than the Morpheous. Feels better for surface tricks, flatwater, but I feel it could use either more nose rocker or length in the waves.. I did have it out at the coast this weekend and rode some shoulder high waves and it worked fine, just thought the Morpheous might do better..

So, either will be fine.. pop is about the same on both IMO..
A lot of skimboards will work fine.. these are just epoxy so they are lighter and strong...

check out www.losethestraps.com and go to thier section comparing boards...tons of skim reviews on there..!

I've got a rasta and a zap pro. I like them both but I prefer the zap pro.

I'm kinda biased but the Morpheus is awsome! It has a little more flex to it verses the Rasta, so it's a super smooth ride. It handles small waves really well and cuts like a dream. I find it works great for shuvits and flips, but the Rasta being a slightly shorter & wider shape will spin a little better. Try them both out... they're really two different boards. Wink

they both felt different than my Cabal Fire (no longer made) - it was a bit narrower and had sharper rails

I ride the Rasta and like Jake said is really fun for surface spins, slides and hitting things (avoid Pepe he doesn't give much)

fun in small swells and mush - if its bigger I am on my surfboard

Oh yeah! Good times! I knew all along that you just saw me as a jibbing platform.
