Fri Aug 14, 09 8:07 amOT: another no wind option
but still you get to kite.
we went out with the wakekite.com people
this week... I was demoing another product
for them (shadowboxlive.com), but they
brought the kite out for play.
(wow...warning, lots of plugs)
It started getting windy though, and
we had to bring it in before I got to try it.
It's a little gimmicky... talk about dangling.
this was a 9m.
No offense, but what's the point? Why would you take something good and turn it into a crappier version of kiting? I think the video shows this pretty well. It turns a girl who is good at wakeboarding into a kooky looking rider. I guess if she has fun it's all good, but maybe she should just get into kiting then. _________________ The Slider Project, LLC

Looks interesting, thanks for sharing it, but I kinda agree with Gene. Go out and convert her already! We won't mind sharing the river with another chick who rips.
Besides, it's Oregon and kiteboarding is more 'green' than wakeboarding. Think of the carbon offsets, man!
What did you think of the Shadowbox?

yeah maybe why the wakekite thing hasn't caught on is it is the worst combo of wake and kite style wise?
if the point is to have fun then why not put a harness on and turn it into full on parasailing

Parasailing is fun? The paragliding community refers to it as "dope on a rope".
And no one should think that parasailing is safe just because there's a concession running it. I've met some REAL sketch operators who didn't have a clue what they were doing. _________________ Lets FLY
