Anyone ever kited in Barbados? What's the cost of living? Is it easy to find a place to stay? How are the wind and beaches?
Always searching for new wave breaks... Any info would help. Thanks

I have been down to Barbados twice. The surf can be really good. A very broad range of accommodations is available. We have links for the main hotels and a few condos in the SBC Barbados Kitesurfing Guide. That should be a good starting point.
98% of the riding in Barbados is at Long Beach and Silver Rock. _________________ Kitesurfing Magazine www.kitesurfingmag.com |

| Dave and I went two years ago and stayed at the Silver Sands resort near Long Beach. We were there in mid-February and the wind was on most days. The waves were big and good, but not hollow - crumbly and wimpy. The current was pretty strong in the same direction as the wind. The resort was okay, but we wouldn't stay there again just because the people were so unfriendly. The best part about Barbados was the Mount Gay distillery. Antigua was way better! |
