We usually stay on the water right behind the "Star Market". Launch on the grass in our back yard.

If the wind is more North, we will stay in Kihei. Maybe even go up to Maui Sunset or above. If Trades are "normal" we will usually hang out at Kanaha. Possibly a couple places up in Lahaina as well if wind is North. THough it is hard to leave your backyard when wind is at your doorstep.

Last year, we kited 8 out of 9 days in Kihei as the wind was not cooperating for the North Shore. The one day the wind finally came around was a Sunday. IT WAS A F'n ZOO.

I alway take RED EYE home. There is nothing like leaving Kanaha and going to the airport 5 minutes away and getting straight on the plane in your salty board shorts. That is how its done.

***

Finn was 3 months old in that picture at Kanaha. Now he is 15 months. He will be kiting by 4 or 5 years old. My 11 year old is close to getting on the board. We did a down winder yesterday with him. He had fun looping the 9m Smoke while being dragged downwind .....

Little shit woke me up at 5 am this morning...so you can imagine how I felt when I got onto NWKite this morning to address other stuff....... Evil or Very Mad

Its all good now.

If talkin about Maui and getting people a chance to ride the Wainman's is "Pimpin", then I guess I am guilty.

Thanks for everyone's patience and support.

Very Happy

I don't know,

I think it's always bad for a brand to toot its own whistle, say nothing of getting involved in crib level personal issues...

and to deal retribution? in public?

Dang, how bloated with your own importance would you have to be?

Everyone thinks their shite is special, saying so...

not so special.

what was this thread about?

I forget
whatever..

If talking about giving people a chance to ride a special kite in a special place is "Tooting our own Whistle", then I guess we are guilty.

If you want to come kite with us in Maui, the brand you ride is unimportant.

i flew a rabbit once aaand it seemed nice and would love to get to play with it again at a spot that i could really test it for my normal lame riding style... Twisted Evil

the whole three kite quiver thing had me wondering as i really like the way the right size kite for the conditions work.

flying a kite at with huge range is great but having the right kite size dialed into the conditions is really great when riding big waves imho.

plus isn't it more profitable to sell kiters more kites by selling more options...
i know its a limited audience but it is still growing in some spots Wink
