Nice of you to post the emails of our private discussions regarding Bonetti on the forum. This is really professional.
With this said....I do not control what Bonetti says or writes. I am TRULY sorry personally for the words he has said to YOU and YOUR WIFE. His behavior has been unprofessional on NWKite though he is not the only one.
****
For the record:
- John Bonetti will be returning his kites to Kite Naked unless he chooses to buy them (sorry John, it has to be - Your invite to Maui is still open!)
- If you have chosen not to ride a Wainman because of his actions, I apologize. If you are interested in flying a sweet kite, then Wainman is the way and we will find each other.
- Kite Naked and Wainman Hawaii are not going anywhere. They are both solid companies with solid gear. Not everyone will get a chance to own a Wainman. This is okay as it is a premium brand that earns riders respect. Kite Naked will not "buy" riders nor do we offer "bro" deals. I believe many people will understand this philosophy and respect it. Wainman Hawaii kites are certainly more expensive then SS or LF "GORGE" pricing. Manufacturers allowing this are hurting the industry and the riders.
Kites and gear are available to demo in the Northwest with Brian - "Chooch". We also have a demo program available to assure a chance to ride....even if you can't get Chooch off the water and pry the bar from his hands.
Just give us a shout and we will make it happen!
If anyone would like to talk to me personally regarding this, please do not hesitate to call or email. Your email and message either good or bad will be respectfully kept off of any forum.

Dude, don't take his kites away, just tell him to stop talking smack and be a little more professional if he's going to be in this on the business side of things! Bonetti is blue collar to the core and I think he just needs a little help on how this stuff works.
As far as Phil not being professional, WTF does he owe you anyway? No one owes you anything and this website is no business.
As far as the SS and LF Gorge pricing, don't be bitter you can't just come in with a clown and some balloons and earn market share. You know the Gorge is a stage for the media of kiteboarding and it costs money, time and effort to get on that stage from both vendors and the riders. |

There's two things I've found to be true in my quest to divine a deeper understanding...
humility is endless, and silence is golden.
this thread as trashed my other front runner:
The squeaky wheel gets the grease.
Damn it...I liked that one too.

Chris - I wouldn't have posted your emails if I didn't think there was anything in there you would want kept private. It wasn't meant anything against you I just posted it so all could see what was said to you and I wasn't going to be accused of trying to get Bonetti stripped of sponsership, really I just wanted him to stop pestering me and the forum.
You had some good points that the trash talking was not all one sided and I have already talked to a couple of the trash talk kings offline and we are definitely going to try to get that to stop. My position has always been there is a difference between snarky/sarcastic posts and personal attacks, but to some its hard to tell the difference.
This "For the record" post is for the record so that there is no mistake why I took these actions. Obviously even after I ban Bonetti he comes back and makes things even worse with insults to my wife. Further underscoring why I did this.
Right now I have to have the whole forum setup to manual user approval which causes me extra headache and work trying to decipher the real users from Bonetti's users.
I considered taking the whole forum offline for a day or two just so I didn't have to deal with the BS... honestly I am mentally exhausted. But that's not fair to everyone else and it would just serve to make Bonetti appear even more like a punk hero (even if it is only in is own head.)
So anyway, again Chris - please just get Bonetti on a leash.. no need to cut him off. If Bonetti is a cool guy on the beach (which he has seemed to me in the past) then maybe he should just stick to the beach and stay off the forums. |

Bonneti gave me a helping hand out on the coast after I had just met him in person - he is a cool guy in person.

Boo Hoo Hoo! for those poor $350,000 and up middle class income earners!
"The surtax starts at one percentage point for adjusted gross income above $350,000 in 2011, rising to two points in 2013; a 1.5 point surtax at incomes above $500,000, rising to three in 2013; and a whopping 5.4 percentage points in 2011 and beyond on incomes above $1 million " |

This. Eventually everyone needs to learn that there actions have consequences. Maybe this will be a good learning experience and he will grow up, I hope so.
Probably a good time for this thread to be locked. Less drama and more kiting. |
