I believe that it's just windsurfing and sandup paddle boards.

I assume you can still get a kite session in, even if they're a lot of being trying demos. Does the sandbar get pretty crowded during windfest? Difficulties due to mass of people?

something to think about when kiting at the Sandbar during Windfest Weekend is that a very large influx of windsurfers and random tourists that will be at the Event Site both Saturday and Sunday. There will also be a much greater amount of windsurfers sailing back and forth from the Event Site launch, with an even greater amount of random beginners ending up down wind doing the walk of shame along the Sandbar back to the Event Site.
Also there will be SUP demos and races occuring if the winds are light.

If you want to avoid crowds it would be wise to try to steer clear of the Event Site area and either go upwind to the bridge, or outside of the red buoy.
When launching off the sandbar, please try to launch and land your kites with care. There will likely be a lot of new, non-kite saavy individuals at the Sandbar and Event Site area, so please be patient and cautious around these people.

I hope this notice helps to prepare people for having a great weekend and to enjoy the fact that we live and recreate in such a popular and well loved location.

Thanks
Pepi
