Tue Jun 16, 09 7:22 pm Looking for windsurf buddy |
|
|
Hi all you kiters!
I'm looking for a beginning windsurfer to buddy up with and practice with! Or- I could make do with an advanced windsurfer that wants to teach a cute girl to windsurf! If you know anyone, please send them my way. I'm completely hooked but would like to head out with someone!!
Are there any nw windsurf forums out there? Haven't been able to find one!
THANK YOU!
Denise

You must quickly get away from this forum. Any windsurfers that try out kiting quickly switch sports. I know. Windsurfed for almost 20 years and took up kiting a few years back. Haven't been kiting since |

Hello Gabi - there are some windsurfers on the forum. But you can also check out ikitesurf.com
and if you are who I think you are - hit up Brad Peters - I spoke with him about a month ago and he said he was going to get started windsurfing. _________________ Still rockin gojos, *ssless chaps, and ankle weights! |

I kited with my friend at Doug's while he windsurfed. I was actually helping him with his jibes....
It's all good, there are a few people on here that still kite with windsurfers.
cheers and beers,

| Ha, ha- thanks, Hilton. Duly noted & forewarned! I got a good laugh from the email string on iwindsurf. Luckily that was back in 2007. Hopefully things have changed since then!!?? |

Some people have the patience and adventure for the more challenging learning curve. "If it were easy it'd be called kiteboarding..."
I have to confess, with the gnarly gusts and holes yesterday I opted to rig a 4.2 instead of pumping up the 10m. Had a blast; great jumps and some OK swell at Dougwena. As my kiteboarding matures and I build confidence with my 7m maybe I'll sell my small gear, but for now I have to admit to being bisportsual. We live in an open-minded society, right?
Hey Denise, if I wasn't leaving town tomorrow I'd gladly show you the ropes! Good luck and have fun with it! |
