When you first get to the HR Sandbar, look for a tall blond guy with a brown conversion van (w/lots of stickers + big orange 2nd Wind sticker). This is "A-TRAIN", our local kiteboard ambassador. He will give you the low-down on where you can and cannot van camp.
Please reward any good advice he provides you, with a cold half-rack of beer.

you can park your van on sherman street all summer. Been doing it for years and have had no problems.

Bridge RV has really nice showers, and a gas station with coffee and dognuts for the am.

Ask for Robin and tell em Ron sent ya,

I think tent sites are $cheap and your about 5 min. from the hatch and 3 min. from the snatch.

Very Happy

for an out of the way spot with kill view, try fir mtn. rd. Go up till pavement end , another few bends in the road, there is good area with big views of Mt. Hood and upper valley. Ten min. above town of HR.
