just heard on he radio emergency weather service @ 5:20 NWS spoted potential thunder storm far east gresham. aparently this came out of nowhere and may have severe damaging winds and 1/4" hail. Note was to get to a strong shleter with no windows.

I have no link yet... am driving in the car. figured it was worth pulling over to post. winds in hillsburrito are moderate to light and clear skies...

* UNTIL 600 PM PDT.

* AT 520 PM PDT...NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE DOPPLER RADAR INDICATED A
SEVERE THUNDERSTORM CAPABLE OF PRODUCING QUARTER SIZE HAIL...AND
DAMAGING WINDS IN EXCESS OF 60 MPH. THIS STORM WAS LOCATED OVER

From 4:35 to 5:35 that was some amazingly steady wind. Very Happy Me happy. The 1" fins also helped.

Yeah, thanks for convincing me to pump up the 10 as you were leaving, Jim. From 5:35 on, well, that was a different story... Crying or Very sad

And yes, there were flashes of lightning over on the Washington side, but everybody was pretty much plucked from their swim by then. Except for one guy who managed to fly all the way back with no wind and tangled lines from multiple inversions - you rock Buddy!

We saw lightning hit the river at Stevenson last night. Shortly thereafter, I launched Kraemer for a solo session. Shocked
