I tried Forrests boots the other day and they were comfy. I have stayed away from boots because I remember how bad my feet would hurt back when I wakeboarded.... things have definitely come a long way since then.

So ,
Now I understand . Thanks for the info guys.
I just have straps on the three boards that I own , even on my brand new OR mako wide and they are nice and soft too .
Now I'm a little sad as I have no style .
I wear board shorts over my drysuit will that help ?
Seriously though I'll hope to try some boots as I have felt my feet too loose at times and it feels like I'm going to loose the plank from under me and make the big splash . I tried to tighten the straps but then I couldn't get my feet in all the way properly .
Good input guys , thanks

Forrest (please note two r's) why no unions? Aren't they hella lighter than the full boots?
I don't want anything that heavy..

Man I need to just try your synergies. Gene are you riding synergies as well? Boots on my CF raptor 137 x42? Maybe on a close out 08 recoil instead. How wide are the recoils anyways?

decisions decisions decisions.

What size kite should I buy for the gorge?

The Unions are just old school. IMO, they're better than foot straps but not by much, though I know Gene and a lot of other people rode them for a long time and may think their fine. You know how old snowboard boots used to be compared to a modern snowboard boot. It's the same with the Unions compared to the Synergys.

The Syngerys are pretty damn light compared to the Escalades. I don't know how they compare to the Unions.

Your CF board has the right dimensions, just put Synergys on it. The LF Recoil isn't a great board for boots for a guy your size since it doesn't get any bigger than 136.

I have a pair of Unions sitting at my house collecting dust Brian. You can give em a shot and see how you like them compared to the synergies.

Haha, you want my Concept from last year for $150?

PMB, the '09 boots are WAY lighter than they used to be. They're lighter than Unions I believe. I can double check if you really want me to. I'm riding the LF Watsons on the Influence (it's a wake specific pro-model boot). They're stiffer than most other boots in the wake lineup, but still have decent flex. I love em. For my slider board I'm basically riding the Syngergys (I'm riding the Alpha, but that's just the wake specific version of Synergy). Both real comfy, light and fun as hell to ride. I do like the closed toe and stiffness of the Watson for load and pop. If you want the most comfort and lightest boot get an '09 lace up boot PMB. If you actually start riding boots fairly often you'll be glad you did.

I'm pretty sure you're mistaken on that price.
I think they retail in the $250-300 range.
Which is pretty reasonable considering the cost of regular wakeboard bindings

That can't be right. You might want to look into that a bit closer jack.

He must be thinking of that escort girl he was looking to get. Synergy is a pretty sexy name Wink

Yeah, they should be around $250-300, which is how much a decent wakeboard boot costs.
