looking pretty good for everyone
Westerlies roaring back into the Gorge tomorrow afternoon and Saturday. Backing off a bit Sunday.
A weak upper-level trough will push through early tomorrow and bring solid westerly gradients rushing back into the Gorge. This looks to bring a strong push of westerlies to the Corridor and the East in the mid to late afternoon. Solid westerlies look to continue Saturday in a summertime-like pattern with the North Pacific High centered off the coast. A low sinking southward from the Gulf of Alaska will push the NPH more toward California on Sunday weakening westerlies a bit through the Gorge.
Friday:
Mild winds in the AM. Westerlies quickly building in the early to mid afternoon into the mid to maybe upper 20's for Hood River and Doug's, similar out east. Solid winds at the Coast as well with mid 20's for Manzanita.
Saturday:
Strong westerlies continue. Mid to upper 20's continue for Stevenson all the way out east. Maybe stronger. The Coast continues to shine as well with upper teens to low 20's for Manzanita and stronger at the South Coast.
Sunday:
Winds decline a bit. Strongest winds for the Corridor, focused right at Hood River, with near to low 20's. Milder throughout the rest of the Gorge, with some upper teens. The Coast backs down as well with mid teens at Manzanita and near 20's to the south. |
