I've got a sister who's gonig to be staying in Oahu this weekend...!

She actually took a lesson with me way back on 2 liners, but she hasn't done jack since.... just has the trainer down and rigging/launching of an SLE....and some flying skills and has been on plane before..

Anyone know any schools I can refer her too...??
She rips the wakeboard behind the boat....

Just wondering what will get her some water time and not be crazy expensive...
Is that possible..? Wink

any advice would be great..

Big island or Oahu?? Not much on the big island, lots of instructors on Oahu. Some of them are great, some are bozos. There's one guy who's pretty good. Uses helmets with 2 way radios to talk to the students while they're out. Can't remember his name. Sad Try contacting Tautologies; he'll know who's good to go to I think.

Most of the lessons will be in Kailua. Tell her to arrange her lessons as early in the morning as possible to avoid the crowds on the beach.

Long rage forecast for next weekend is pretty crappy. Sad

Caveman (Tony Groman) is my friend, the guy with 2-way radios. He has been teaching since 1999. He is the guy to get ahold of for lessons at Kailua Beach on Oahu. His number is 808-389-4004.

I am a regular instructor on maui and will be on oahu this weekend to kite.
Problem is there will be NO WIND! first time in 3 years I have not had wind on memorial weekend in Oahu. Maybe a little on Monday but it is not looking good.

Do not forget even with the best instructor, you cannot learn to kite if you do not have wind to fly kites.
Sure you can talk theory for about an hour or two but nothing will make up for actual hands on learning with a kite "pegged to the edge of the window" I.E. flying in at least 10knts.
