I just got 2 days, first of the season for me, on my 12mtr. Rev and I wanted to let you know that these kites are the real deal.
I've flown the TD one to TD II, and III and Rev 7, 9, 11, 14 and liked em all.
The RPM 12 set on medium settings was as fast as a waroo, but has way more lift on jumps. It's an amazing platform!!

I rode hooked in as I'm not interested in doing a total wipe out in chilly water. Need a better wet suit.

If you are thinking about kites you better demo the RPM line. It's an amazing kite.

Nice job SS,

Very Happy

Thanks for the good word. It really is a great kite and I'm super stoked on its versatility and performance.

4 sessions on the RPM, have had the opportunity to use the 8,10 and 12 and I would give them all 4 stars. More range than the Rev or the Waroo better pop and they turn better while sheeted out than any other kite I have ridden. All in all pretty Dang Stoked on them!

I have not tried that yet, but with the square tips in theory I would think it would work very well. But, yet to try.

I was really glad to have sle feel but the c-like pop..and I do mean elevator up, up and away. My heels are sore from the jumping.

I have it set on the stock settings, medium and it works fine.

This kite is going to be hard to beat! Very Happy Very Happy Very Happy

Everything is more money this year.... Keep in mind that price of the kites includes bar, pump and bag.

So back to the topic,...the RPM's look pretty sweet. I'll always stick to my beloved Thrusters. but from what i've seen the RPM does just about everything right. Even in the surf it seems to be a good all rounder.

If he does I'll vote for him next time.

I think the government should stand behind sling shot kites and provide a tax incentive for the purchase of all kite equipment,

I'm just sayin Very Happy

PostSat Apr 25, 09 7:23 am    kite model comparisons Reply with quote

It seems we're not comparing apples to apples on this thread. If you're shopping for a car, you wouldn't compare a mini van and a corvette.

There is a good kite and board comparison in SBC Kiteboard (2009 Buyers Guide from Jan 2009). Kite and board models are made specific to riding styles: park/unhooked control, big air, beginner, freestyle, waves, etc. As your riding skills and preferences change, the kite or board you learned on or the most popular model may no longer be the best choice. Read up and test gear that is designed for the performance you want so you can make a true comparison.

PostSun Apr 26, 09 9:57 am    So if you had to classify the RPM wouldn't it be a ... Reply with quote

Hybrid? It's shape is more like a C-kite than a flat kite. The thing I like is that you can pull on the bar, but at the same time it's just as fast as a waroo.. The waroo being a true flat kite generates power in turning..right...?

I can't wait to rock my 8, and 10, but I'm tellin ya the 12 is an amazing kite.

Carol, I was not really comparing the TD's, just kind of fillin in my history for other SS guys/gals. The dna from the TD II and the Rev seem to be in the RPM..

Whatever the case may be the RPM works really well for me. I'm fat, bald and slightly crazy.

Peace Very Happy

A C-kite will normally generate more power through the turn.

And more like "DNA" from the FUEL and REV.
