Seems like there was a thread running last year on jobs and living in the gorge. Well it looks like there is going to be some opportunity in Stevenson.
Insitu (www.insitu.com), has just signed a long term lease for 46,000 square feet of industrial space with the Port of Skamania. They expect to move in to the facility that is currently occupied by MFG Northwest around June 1st.
They even have a take your dog to work policy. Go here to look at their job list: https://jobs-insitu.icims.com/jobs/search?ss=1&searchKeyword=&searchLocation=&searchCategory= A pretty wide variety of positions are listed so it's worth a look.
This might be your opportunity to move out of PDX and get to the gorge.

| Now if they would only respond to the resumes that people send them. I know of at least 3 people that submitted resumes to their black hole. |

| Nope, just expanding into Stevenson, no cuts at their other facilities. Sounds like they have a lot of work lined up. |

Actually the process is still going I think. Several months after applying I got an email saying they're reviewing resumes. I think the right call is to apply while you still have a job.
